Mystery in Washington: US Army Seizes Strange Cabin in 1985
Structure remained under military custody for one year and disappeared without explanation in 1986
Washington D.C., June 1986 - One of the most enigmatic episodes in recent US history comes to light: the seizure of a blue phone booth, similar to an old British telephone, kept secret by the Army since 1985.
According to documents and unofficial testimonies, the cabin was found locked and empty in the middle of the American capital. Transported under strong security scheme, it was taken to secret military facilities, where it remained for a whole year.
Scientists and engineers tried to open or study its structure, but without success. "It was as if the object had properties out of the ordinary," said an anonymous source linked to the Pentagon. Internal reports talk about strange phenomena, such as sudden electrical failures, change in magnetic fields and even disappearance of nearby equipment.
In the spring of 1986, the case gained even more mysterious contours: the cabin simply disappeared from the military depot where it was stored. Guards on duty said they did not see any movement. One day it was there, the next there was only empty space.
The disappearance generated an official investigation, but to date there has been no public statement from the US government.
Experts in unexplained phenomena and ufologists believe that the cabin would actually be the famous TARDIS, time travel vehicle popularized by British television. For others, everything is just another episode of military cover-up.
While authorities remain silent, the mystery grows around an artifact that seems to have defied science and national security.
